Born in 1938 in Vitória de Santo Antão, in northeastern Brazil, the Pitú distillery — now led by the fourth and fifth generations of its founding families — presents this Passion Fruit Colada, a cachaça-based liqueur with decidedly tropical accents. In the glass, a creamy orange hue heralds a generous nose of passion fruit enhanced by a touch of vanilla. On the palate, the flavor of passion fruit is expressed with intensity and authenticity: a pronounced yet balanced sweetness, a slight acidity, and a delicately vanilla finish compose a harmonious whole. At 15% ABV and in a 70 cl format, this light, fruity liqueur is a natural choice for festive moments, enjoyed on its own or in a cocktail.
